Lorinda Stutterd

(Founder / Senior Dietitian)

Lorinda has called Cairns home since 2016 and loves the tropical lifestyle in FNQ. She completed her Nutrition and Dietetics degree in Wagga Wagga, NSW and originally hails from Tasmania where she first developed her love of good food. Since moving to Cairns, Lorinda has remained dedicated to her career through completing advanced training to specialise in her niche areas of nutrition practice.

 

 

Lorinda has spent the past 6 years working in private practice and has come to know the region and its people well. She could see a gap in quality dietetic support for those seeking a specialised service tailored to their nutrition needs.

As a result, Lorinda has developed a special interest in fertility, prenatal & women’s health, bariatric surgery, food allergies/intolerances, and weight management. To excel in her services Lorinda has:

  • Completed the Nutrition Therapy for Fertility with the Early Life Nutrition Alliance (ELNA) group. (Certified Fertility Dietitian)

  • Completed the advanced course in Nutrition Therapy for Pregnancy with ELNA.

    (Certified Prenatal Dietitian)

  • Completed the Monash University FODMAPs course for dietitians. (FODMAP trained)

  • Developed extensive experience in the application of the RPAH Food Chemical Elimination Diet after completing further study and visit to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit.

  • Member of the Australian & New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society (ANZMOSS). Received mentoring and closely works alongside local bariatric surgeons performing gastric sleeve and bypass surgery.

  • Completed the Microba Insight gut health training. 

  • Extensive experience in weight management and nutrition counselling.

Lorinda is known for her warm, kind hearted nature and endeavours to guide her clients throughout their nutrition journey. She maintains solution focused with individually tailored support based on her client’s goals and personal preferences. 

True to her love of all things health and wellbeing, you can often find Lorinda in her spare time getting outdoors whether that be on the water, hiking mountains, or running on the local tracks. Otherwise, she’s slowing down the pace and enjoying a good coffee, dining out, reading books, painting, or catching up with close friends and family.

 
 
 

Emma Coleman

(Senior Dietitian / Credentialed Eating Disorder Dietitian)

Emma offers an empathic approach to her clients, offering understanding and a non-judgmental stance. She provides an individualised approach that inspires her clients to achieve their nutrition goals and improve their relationship with food. 


Emma has over 10 years of clinical experience working in hospital, community, and state-wide and local eating disorder services. This diversity of practice allows her to assist clients across a range of medical areas. She has a passion for helping people navigate nutrition and mental health, particularly to those living with eating disorders and disordered eating. She is a credentialed eating disorder clinician with ANZAED. 

Having completed training in Cognitive behaviour therapy enhanced, family based therapy and specialist supportive clinical management, Emma has a therapy informed lens in her practice. Recognition of her skills and knowledge has provided opportunities to speak at local and state-wide forums, university lectures and present research at national conferences. 

This means Emma can confidently assist individuals and families navigate eating issues including:

  • Anorexia Nervosa

  • Bulimia Nervosa

  • Binge Eating Disorder

  • Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)

  • Other specified feeding and eating disorder (OSFED)

  • Disordered eating in the context of other medical conditions (e.g. post bariatric surgery)

  • Poor appetite

  • Prioritising eating well with other mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety 

Having spent most of her career in Brisbane, she was drawn back to her roots in FNQ to be closer to family. By working privately, she hopes to offer her expertise in eating disorders and disordered eating to her local community. 

Outside of work, Emma enjoys letting her creativity out and learning new skills. Ask about her latest attempts at pottery! Otherwise, you will find her wining and dining at a few of her favourites around town.
